Shield is an insurance broking system: policies with their documents, premium instalments, renewals and multi-party claims with a second pair of eyes on every settlement, so a claim moves from notification to settled without a spreadsheet keeping track of it.

What it does
- Clients, insurers and policies Record each client, insurer and loss adjuster once, then keep every policy with its class of business, renewal date and premium, and attach its documents.
- Premium instalments Put a policy on an instalment schedule and each charge is created when it falls due. Add one-off charges by hand, and group a policy’s uninvoiced charges into an invoice.
- Renewals See the policies due to renew in the next 30, 60 or 90 days. Mark one renewed and the next term is created and linked to the old one, so the cover history stays readable.
- Claims with every party Notify a claim against a policy, assign a handler and record the client, insurer, loss adjuster and anyone else involved. Each claim moves through the same fixed stages.
- Settlement sign-off An admin who isn’t the claim’s handler has to approve a settlement offer before the client can accept it, and every offer stays in the claim’s history.
- Chase dates Log who said what and when against a claim, and set a next-chase date. The handler is notified when it arrives.
Questions
Is the demo free?
Yes. This insurance broker software demo costs nothing to use, and you don’t need a card.
What happens to what I enter?
Demo accounts are for exploring the system, so please don’t enter real client or claim details. Your account starts empty, and a Load sample data button fills it with a realistic book of policies and claims.
Can it be changed to fit my business?
Yes. Shield is a starting point. We change the fields, screens, claim stages and reports to match how you place and service business, and build in anything extra you need.
What does working with Moonfive look like?
We build your own version of Shield around how your business works, then keep developing it on a monthly retainer.
Retainers start from £1,500 a month, plus a one-time £1,500 setup fee, with no lock-in and one month’s notice.
